Human Resources Business Partner/OperationsTerraPower is seeking a highly motivated Human Resources Business Partner to support our growing and dynamic team. Reporting to the Sr. HR Manager.
The Human Resources Business Partner/Operations focused on operations supports the execution of core HR operational processes and employee lifecycle activities, ensuring HR programs, systems, and documentation are administered efficiently and in compliance with company policies.This role combines HR business partnership responsibilities with HR operations, process improvement, systems support, and HR program administration. The ideal candidate is adaptable, solution-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. This individual will bring a strong customer-service mindset, operational rigor, and the ability to balance strategic partnership responsibilities with operational execution.ResponsibilitiesHR Business PartnershipPartner with managers and leaders to provide day-to-day HR guidance and support across employee lifecycle matters.Coach leaders on HR policies, employee concerns, performance conversations, and team effectiveness.Support performance management processes, employee engagement initiatives, and organizational effectiveness efforts.Assist leaders in navigating employee relations matters in partnership with Senior Employee Relations Specialist as appropriate.Build collaborative relationships across departments and serve as a trusted HR resource for employees and managers.HR Operations & Program AdministrationSupport upkeep of HRIS systems and employee data, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation across HR systems.Support HR reporting and dashboards, analyze workforce trends and HR metrics, and assist with operational reporting needs.Identify opportunities to improve and automate HR processes through technology, AI tools, and continuous improvement initiatives.Help drive scalable HR workflows and process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and consistency.Partner in the administration, execution, and continuous improvement of HR programs and operational processes, including workforce mobility, alternative work arrangements (AWA), onboarding, offboarding, and employee lifecycle activities.Serve as backup support for onboarding activities when needed, including onboarding documentation, workflows, and coordination with internal stakeholders.HR Compliance & DocumentationMaintain employee documentation and records in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.Facilitate periodic internal reviews of HR documentation, including I-9 forms and onboarding records, to support regulatory compliance.Support compliance initiatives, records retention practices, and HR documentation standards.Assist in the development and maintenance of HR procedures, internal guidance documents, toolkits, and training materials.Key Qualifications and SkillsB.S.
degree in Business, Communications, Human Resources Management, or a related field.4+ years of experience in progressive HR roles in a corporate environment with at least 2+ years of business partner responsibilitiesExperience supporting managers and employees across HR processes and employee relations matters.Experience supporting HR systems (HRIS), employee data management, and HR documentation practices.Strong communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Demonstrated initiative and continuous improvement mindset with interest in automation, AI tools, and scalable process solutions.High level of professionalism, discretion, integrity, and sound judgment when handling sensitive employee information.Ability to adapt quickly to changing business needs and organizational priorities.Preferred QualificationsHR experience supporting engineering, technical, manufacturing, energy, nuclear, or highly regulated organizations.Familiarity with HRIS systems such as ADP Workforce Now or similar platforms.Understanding HR compliance requirements including I-9 documentation, records management, and employee lifecycle processes.Experience supporting process improvement, HR operations optimization, or HR program implementation initiatives.HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP, SPHR, or SHRM-SCP) is a plus.Job Functions:Motor Abilities: Sitting for extended periods, bending/stooping, grasping/gripping, fine motor control (hands)Physical exertion and/or requirements: Minimal, with ability to safely lift up to 25 pounds.Repetitive work: ProlongedSpecial Senses: Visual and audio focused workWork Conditions: Stairs, typing/keyboard, standard and/or sitting working environment of >8 hours/dayTravel required 0-10%Salary Range: $102,804 - $154,206* We typically place offers in the lower to middle portion of the range to maintain internal equity and allow room for growth. Any salary offered within the posted salary band is based on market data and commensurate with the selected individual's qualifications experience.
