- Own day-to-day HR consultation for assigned client groups
- Coach managers through team and performance challenges and advise on people decisions
- Partner with Employee Relations, Talent Acquisition, and Compensation teams
- Support talent reviews, succession planning, and the annual compensation cycle
- Help leaders turn engagement results into action
- Use workforce data, turnover, vacancy, and staffing trends to provide insights and identify issues
- Partner with Senior HR Business Partners on organizational design, workforce planning, and change initiatives
- Build knowledge of client-group structures, roles, goals, and challenges
- Help managers navigate onboarding, transfers, and offboarding
- Support performance review cycles and development plans
- Draft and refine job descriptions and organizational charts
- Track action items from employee relations cases, talent reviews, and engagement surveys
- Contribute a client-group perspective to broader HR projects and process improvements
- Help managers apply HR policies and practices consistently and fairly
- Report to the Director, HR Business Partners
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience advising leaders on people and organizational issues
- Experience in HR or an adjacent path such as management consulting, organizational development, chief of staff, or business operations
- Working knowledge of talent management and performance practices
- Exposure to employee relations, compensation, and organizational design, or aptitude to build this knowledge quickly
- Experience in a large or complex organization
- Demonstrated success building trust and credibility with managers
- Ability to operate independently and know when to involve specialist teams or senior HR partners
- Comfort working with workforce data and turning it into insight
- Adaptability and curiosity, including comfort adopting new tools and AI-enabled HR technology
- Ability to prioritize across multiple client groups with competing demands
- Consultative approach and credibility with managers and leaders
- Clear, direct communication
- Sound judgment and discretion on sensitive employee matters
- HR certification such as SHRM-CP or PHR is a plus but not required
- Interest in growing into a Senior HRBP role and track record of taking on stretch assignments and seeking feedback
- Ability to work 9:00 AM-5:00 PM Monday-Friday
