Position Overview
Our healthcare client is seeking an experienced HR Business Partner / Senior HR Generalist to support employees and leaders across multiple departments. This role will serve as a strategic and hands-on HR resource, partnering with management on employee relations, performance management, workforce planning, employee engagement, and compliance initiatives.
The ideal candidate will have prior healthcare experience, strong knowledge of union environments, and the ability to build effective relationships at all levels of the organization.
Responsibilities
- Partner with managers and department leaders on employee relations matters, investigations, coaching, and conflict resolution.
- Provide guidance on HR policies, procedures, and employment practices.
- Support performance management, employee development, and organizational effectiveness initiatives.
- Assist with recruitment, onboarding, retention, and workforce planning efforts.
- Interpret and administer collective bargaining agreements and support union-related matters.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Analyze HR trends and workforce metrics to support business decisions.
- Collaborate with leadership on employee engagement and culture initiatives.
- Participate in HR projects, process improvements, and change management activities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required.
- 5+ years of progressive Human Resources experience.
- Experience as an HR Business Partner, Senior HR Generalist, or similar HR role.
- Healthcare industry experience required.
- Union/labor relations experience required.
- Strong employee relations and performance management background.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills.
- Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office.
