About the Company



Our client is seeking an experienced Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to provide both strategic and hands-on HR support to business leaders and employees. This contract opportunity will partner closely with leadership to drive employee engagement, workforce planning, performance management, employee relations, and organizational effectiveness initiatives. The HRBP serves as a trusted advisor to leaders and employees, ensuring HR programs and practices align with business objectives while supporting a positive employee experience.



About the Role



The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) will provide strategic and hands-on HR support, partnering with leaders and managers to drive employee engagement, workforce planning, performance management, employee relations, and organizational effectiveness initiatives while serving as a trusted advisor to both leaders and employees.



Responsibilities


  • Partner with leaders and managers to provide consultative HR guidance and support.
  • Advise on employee relations matters, investigations, conflict resolution, and performance management.
  • Support employee engagement, retention, and workforce planning initiatives.
  • Counsel employees on career development, internal opportunities, and HR programs.
  • Conduct exit interviews and analyze workforce trends.
  • Manage employee and labor relations matters, including grievance support and policy interpretation.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and organizational policies.
  • Analyze HR metrics and trends to support business decisions.
  • Prepare HR reports and documentation as needed.
  • Support organizational change initiatives, special projects, and ongoing HR programs.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition, Benefits, Employee Health, and other HR functions to support business needs.



Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Behavioral Sciences, or a related field.
  • Prior Human Resources Business Partner experience required.
  • Strong knowledge of employee relations, labor relations, employment law, and performance management.
  • Experience working within a unionized workforce environment.
  • Proficiency with HRIS and talent management systems.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and manage confidential information.



Required Skills



  • Strong knowledge of employee relations, labor relations, employment law, and performance management.
  • Experience working within a unionized workforce environment.
  • Proficiency with HRIS and talent management systems.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and manage confidential information.



Preferred Skills



  • 3-5+ years of progressive Human Resources Business Partner experience.
  • Healthcare industry experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience supporting multiple leaders and departments within a large, complex organization.
  • HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP) preferred.
