Human Resources and Management Services Senior Training Specialist (Contract Contingent - Location Negotiable)ProSidian Consulting seeks a Senior Training Specialist to support and participate in a project supporting The Department of Labor, Office of the Assistant Secretary for Administration and Management, Human Resource Center. The Senior Training Specialist plays an integral role by effectively participating in day to day operations and by offering quality service and excellence in the administration provided for the OASAM. The duties of this position include developing training curriculum to implement new and/or changed programs, providing and coordinating training courses, programs, and training, and coordinating Agency or Center level professional development programs.

This role supports the management, to include relationships and important deliverables and helps support others on the project through a positive attitude and effective communication with appropriate stakeholders.This project provides human resources and management contracting support services for the Department of Labor, Office of the Assistant Secretary for Administration and Management, Human Resource Center. This project will include budget and finance, program development, analysis, evaluation, information technology, general project administration and curriculum development and training.This Office (OASAM) is responsible for the development of policies, standards, procedures, systems and materials, related to the resource and administrative management of the Department. The Human Resources Center (HRC) is responsible for providing leadership, guidance and expertise in all areas related to management of the Department's human resources, including recruitment and development of staff, management of personnel systems, leadership in labor management partnership and improving and supporting work and family life.Duties include:Develop training curriculum to implement new and/or changed programs.Provide and coordinate training courses, programs, and training.Coordinate Agency or Center level professional development programs.Develop computer-aided instructions, such as videos, recorded training sessions, tutorials and software refresher courses.Train staff in new and/or changed programs.Provide trainees with post-class workbooks, manuals, substantive concept review and exercises to transition from the classroom experience to practical application.Supports client objectives while conforming to the client's operating practices.Gathers and assimilates information on subject matter, organizes and condenses material, and prepares course outline, handouts, and visual aid materials.Coordinates with subject matter experts to ensure prepared courses meet required objectives.Catalogue and display learning materials in a clear and intuitive way.Maintains records of all training activities and measures program effectiveness.Assist client in planning and developing objectives and goals that define program accomplishment and achievements.Perform other related job duties as requestedQualifications:Bachelor's degree in the field of education or employee developmentMinimum two (2) years' experience teaching related material; OR four (4) years' experience teaching or training in the filed related to or similar to the taskKnowledge of adult learning modalitiesExperience in measuring program effectivenessExperience with Microsoft Office SuiteExcellent oral, technical, written presentation and communication skillsCore competencies:Teamwork – ability to foster teamwork collaboratively as a participant, and effectively as a team leaderLeadership – ability to guide and lead colleagues on projects and initiativesBusiness Acumen – understanding and insight into how organizations perform, including business processes, data, systems, and peopleCommunication – ability to effectively communicate to stakeholders of all levels orally and in writingMotivation – persistent in pursuit of quality and optimal client and company solutionsAgility – ability to quickly understand and transition between different projects, concepts, initiatives, or work streamsJudgment – exercises prudence and insight in decision-making process while mindful of other stakeholders and long-term ramificationsOrganization – ability to manage projects and activity, and prioritize tasksOther requirements:Business Tools – understanding and proficiency with business tools and technology, including Microsoft Office.
