The City of Kingman is seeking a Human Resources Analystto help support the City's Human Resources programs, with a primary focus on leave administration, performance management, and employee relations support. This position works closely with a collaborative HR team, jumping in to help with projects and other initiatives that support department and City goals. The work is fast-paced, people-focused, and requires a balance of organization and analytical thinking.

What You'll Need To Be Successful In This Role
Leave Administration & Compliance (30%): Administer and track employee leaves of absence, including FMLA, ADA accommodations, and Long-Term Disability. Review medical certifications, engage in interactive processes, and provide guidance to departments and employees to ensure compliance with applicable laws and City policies.
Performance Management & Evaluations (25%): Coordinate the annual employee evaluation program across departments, including system administration, timeline development, training, and reporting. Provide technical support to supervisors and staff on performance management tools and assist the HR Administrator in analyzing evaluation data to identify trends and support organizational development.
Employee Relations & Policy Assistance (20%): Assist the HR Administrator with employee relations matters, including intake of concerns, documentation, and coordination of investigations. Support disciplinary actions, grievance processes, and policy development while maintaining confidentiality and adherence to employment law.
Classification Analysis (15%): Assist in drafting and updating job descriptions and job postings and maintaining the classification system. Conduct research and analysis related to job classifications, salary structures, internal equity studies, and market compensation data.
Team Support (10%): Provide support for Human Resources initiatives by assisting with department projects, events, and onboarding activities. Deliver responsive and professional customer service to employees and departments and support broader Human Resources goals and operations.
