Human Resources Administrative AssistantThe HR Administrative Assistant provides administrative and operational support to the Human Resources department and assists with a variety of employee-related processes. This position serves as an important resource for employees and management by maintaining accurate records, coordinating HR activities, supporting recruitment and onboarding, and ensuring timely and confidential handling of HR information.The following duties are representative of the position. Additional responsibilities may be assigned.Provide administrative support to the Human Resources department and assist with day-to-day HR operations.Maintain accurate and confidential employee records, files, and HR databases.Assist with the recruitment process, including posting job openings, scheduling interviews, communicating with candidates, and preparing recruitment materials.Support new-hire onboarding activities, including preparing paperwork, coordinating orientation, and ensuring required documentation is completed.Assist with employee changes, personnel transactions, and HR documentation.Respond to routine employee questions and direct complex or sensitive matters to the appropriate HR team member.Prepare reports, spreadsheets, correspondence, presentations, and other HR-related documents.Assist with tracking employee training, certifications, performance evaluations, and other HR requirements.Support benefits administration and assist employees with general benefits-related questions.Maintain compliance with company policies and applicable employment laws by following established HR procedures.Assist with employee engagement activities, meetings, events, and other HR initiatives.Process and maintain confidential information with a high degree of professionalism and discretion.Perform general administrative duties and other HR-related responsibilities as assigned.The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, professional, and able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining confidentiality and discretion.Advanced knowledge of general Human Resources principles, practices, administrative procedures, employee records, onboarding, recruitment, and personnel documentation.Extensive knowledge of standard office procedures, business correspondence, and recordkeeping practices.Advanced experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, Adobe, Canva, and Zoom.Strong organizational, time-management, communication, and interpersonal skills.Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to maintain organized records.Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion when handling sensitive employee information.Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, applicants, managers, and external contacts.Ability to exercise sound judgment, resolve routine issues, and appropriately escalate complex or sensitive matters.Ability to learn and effectively use Frontline, Vector Solutions, and other Human Resources Information Systems.Ability to adapt to changing priorities and demonstrate professionalism, dependability, and integrity.Required: Associate degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Management, or a related field.Minimum of five (5) years of administrative, Human Resources, office management, or related professional experience.Experience providing administrative support in a professional office environment.Experience maintaining confidential records and handling sensitive information with discretion.Work requires the ability to perform routine physical activities associated with an office and school environment, including sitting, standing, walking, speaking, hearing, operating office and communication equipment, and occasionally lifting or carrying light materials and supplies.Performance will be evaluated by the Superintendent in accordance with School Board policies and administrative regulations governing administrative personnel evaluations.
