Job TitleKey Responsibility Areas:Rapidly design, build, and test HTS magnetsDevelop specifications for magnets based on system design and performance goalsOptimize magnet design and run analysis using Multiphysics simulation software (e.g. Ansys EM, Structure, COMSOL, etc.)Develop design tools, data analysis software, and algorithms using Python or similarIncorporate design for manufacturing principles and support first buildsProduce design specifications and collaborate with vendors to get quotes and deliver hardware that meets qualificationsSupport the implementation of tooling and manufacturingDesign and execute magnet testingTrack and report results and progress against program goals and milestonesCommunicate and collaborate with internal and external stakeholdersIdeal Experience & Skillsets:Experience with magnets, cryogenics, vacuum systems, or transformer designExperience in design using CAD software (e.g. Solidworks, CATIA, NX, etc.)Experience with Ansys and/or COMSOLExperience specifying machining, welding, and fabrication requirementsAbility to work through and solve highly multidisciplinary engineering problemsAbility to take initiative, work independently and as part of a teamAbility to execute and flourish in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environmentComfortable working to aggressive deadlinesExceptional work ethicStrong team member with clear communication and collaboration skillsInnate desire to learn, innovate, and critique ideas including one's ownAt least a bachelor's degree in physics, computer science, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, materials engineering, or related fieldsExperience with magnetic confinement fusion, aerospace, medical devices, or other highly technical industries is idealCompany Benefits:Salary range $85,000-$150,000Comprehensive health benefits (e.g.
