Benefits SpecialistThe Benefits Specialist will serve as PeopleSoft application subject matter expert guiding configuration and implementation with a strong focus on Base Benefits and Benefits Administration for US. Redefine business processes to maximize application usage as required.ResponsibilitiesDevelop & document specifications for PeopleSoft configurations and associated interfacesGuide the development of training material and technical documentationProvide production support to a fast-paced payroll environment.Supports annual open enrollment and qualified life events during the yearLead the testing of new or modified systems or processes.Prepare reports and other documentation related to project assignments.Provide ongoing user support including troubleshooting and resolution of more complex system issues.Identify process efficiencies, recommend innovative uses of software functionality, communicate design, implement solutions, and train end-usersPerform other related duties as assignedRequirementsBachelor’s degree in related field required or other related field or a minimum of 3 years Benefits experience or equivalent combination of experience and training.Minimum of 3-4 years PeopleSoft experience with a strong focus on Base Benefits and Benefits Administration for US, PeopleSoft 9.2 experience is a plus.Solid understanding of setup tables, system integration, and HCM Benefits processes and reporting.Ability to research and analyze data to diagnose and resolve system issues.Ability to write reports using Query Manager or SQLProficient using Microsoft Office tools.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Demonstrates meticulous attention to detail.Experience in a union environment is preferred.Demonstrates consistency, flexibility, and commitment to meet deadlines.Excellent issue resolution skills.
