Human Resources GeneralistThis position is responsible for performing a variety of Human Resources (HR) functions to support daily operations. The ideal candidate will have experience across key HR areas, including leave of absence management, workers' compensation, compliance reporting, and employee offboarding. Strong communication skills—both written and interpersonal—are essential, along with the ability to problem-solve, think situationally, work independently, and manage tasks effectively in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment. Maintaining a high level of confidentiality is a critical requirement for this role.
This position reports to the Senior Vice President of PeopleEmployee SupportServe as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries through the HR communication channels, providing guidance on HR policies and systemsDeliver responsive, customer-focused support and maintain accurate records of inquiries and resolutionsEscalate complex or sensitive employee issues to appropriate HR partners, ensuring timely and effective resolutionSupport employees in navigating HR systems and tools, troubleshooting issues as neededHR Operations SupportMaintain accurate employee data across HR systems, ensuring timely updates, reporting integrity, and alignment with organizational records (e.g., org charts, directories, access changes)Support data accuracy and integrity through regular audits and quality checks of HR systems in partnership with our HRIS AnalystPartner with payroll, accounting, and other teams to ensure accurate processing of employee-related transactionsProcess employee lifecycle transactions, including hires, changes, leaves, and terminations, in HR systemsPrograms & Continuous ImprovementDocument and maintain HR workflows, documentation and standard operating proceduresIdentify and recommend opportunities to improve efficiency, supporting process improvements and automation initiativesDrive consistency and standardization across HR workflowsEmployee Lifecycle AdministrationPartner with IT, Payroll, and Facilities to support HR processesMaintain and update employee data in HR systems and coordinate with related systems such as the Active DirectoryFacilitate the 30/60/90-day HR onboarding process, tracking check-ins between managers and new hiresSupport Philanthropy team effortsCoordinate end-to-end offboarding processes for exiting employees including temporary and contingent workersTrack compliance with final pay requirements and benefits terminationSchedule and track exit interviews and maintain related dataSupport employee job changes including promotions, transfers and related employee updatesHR Compliance & TrackingMaintain and monitor compliance trackers (I-9s, training, certifications, acknowledgments)Support internal audits, surveys, and documentation reviewsEnsure employee records are accurate and compliant with legal standardsAssist with maintaining HR policies and proceduresWhat You Bring1–3 years of experience in HR, People Operations, or a related fieldStrong working knowledge of HR workflows, process work, and HRIS systemsExceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple prioritiesStrong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication skills and ability to handle sensitive information with confidentialityCommitment to delivering a high-quality, service-driven HR experienceAbility to work independently while partnering effectively across teamsDemonstrated flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced, evolving environmentAbility to manage shifting priorities and respond effectively to changing business needsWhat We OfferAt Kilroy, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within the role. The base pay range for this role is between $27.74 and $32.90, and your hourly pay will depend on your skills, experience and training, knowledge, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
