Position Summary

Acting as a vital bridge between HR strategy and day-to-day execution, the HR Operations Manager ensures benefits administration, onboarding, offboarding, compliance, and employee data management are executed effectively, supporting both employees and leadership in achieving organizational goals and creating a best-in-class employee lifestyle experience. The position is based on-site in our corporate office located in San Antonio, TX.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and continuously improve core HR processes—onboarding, offboarding, benefits administration, and HRIS management.
  • Develop, document, and maintain HR policies, procedures, and standard operating guidelines.
  • Partner with HR leadership to execute operational strategy aligned with business objectives.
  • Drive automation and process improvements to increase efficiency across HR workflows.
  • Ensure company-wide compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations including FMLA, ADA, FLSA, ERISA, and others.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and ensure data integrity in HRIS.
  • Monitor changes in labor law and proactively update policies to maintain compliance.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for HR-related audits and regulatory inquiries.
  • Support managers and employees with interpretation of HR policies and resolution of workplace issues, serving as an additional HR Business Partner as needed.
  • Participate in employee engagement initiatives and contribute to a positive organizational culture.
  • Oversee the system aspects of the annual performance review cycle, ensuring consistency and timeliness within the HRIS system.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of HR coordinators and generalists.
  • Partner with IT on HRIS integrations, system upgrades, and digital HR transformation initiatives.
  • Represent HR in cross-functional projects and organizational initiatives.
  • Generate and present HR metrics and dashboards to senior leadership.
  • Use workforce data to identify trends and recommend proactive HR interventions.
  • Manage ad-hoc HR reporting requests from business leaders and stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2 years in an operations or management role.
  • Demonstrated expertise with HRIS platforms (Workday preferred).
  • Strong working knowledge of employment law, FMLA, ADA, FLSA, ERISA, and related regulations.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HR reporting tools.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Additional experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree.
  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification.
  • Experience leading HR digital transformation or system implementation projects.
  • Familiarity with Agile or project management methodologies.
  • Prior experience in a high-growth, multi-location, and/or start-up environment.
