Come Join an Inclusive TeamThe Specialist, HR Operational Excellence is responsible for delivering the successful design and development of global HR processes, policies, compliance and governance. This position will partner with HR Business Partners, Centers of Excellence, and HR Operations to gather and analyze information, define and document business processes, and propose improvements needed to enable efficient operations. This role acts as a subject matter expert and accelerator to enable HR Process Owners to effectively own, govern, and continuously improve their processes; accountability for process outcomes remains with the designated Process Owners.A Day in the LifeDevelop and apply consistent standards, preferred practices and guidelines to support HR processesProactively engage and advise various stakeholders to gather and analyze information about critical HR business processesFacilitate operational and process analysis, process design or reengineering, and continuous improvement, to deliver operational excellenceDeliver formally documented HR Operational Excellence process requirements, policies, and preferred practicesReview, organize and manage process documentsMaintain the knowledge management platform and post information intuitivelyConduct audits and assessments to ensure consistent application of the HR processes and determine the effectiveness of the process in placeCoordinate and integrate data analyses for opportunities and performance reviewDevelop and implement compliance processesWork closely with Global Process Owners to develop the business case or value proposition to support improvement opportunitiesIdentify, document, and analyze business rules, regulations, guidance and policies that govern the implementation of business processesSupport HR initiatives at the global level through continuous evaluation, quality assurance and focused improvement effortsProvide ongoing coaching and development to process owners and HR staff in consistent application of HR Operational ExcellenceArea of ExpertiseKnowledge of Operational Excellence, business processes, and regulatory requirements applicable to human resourcesAbility to create and apply templates using MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint/Teams, Visio, Celonis Process Management, and other tools as neededProfessional written and verbal communication skills across global audiencesChange management experience preferredAbility to work independently and manage own work to completionStrong planning, facilitation, and problem-solving skillsYou Bring This ValueBachelor's degree or equivalent experience required10+ years of relevant experience implementing process improvements at scaleAbility to lead technical discussions, challenge assumptions, and gain consensusAdvanced skills in MS Office, Visio, and SharePoint/TeamsSAP / SuccessFactors configuration and testing experience preferredExperience with process improvement methodologies such as LEAN/6 sigma, in a business services contextCompetencies: Build Partnerships, Drive Innovation, Grow Capabilities, Promote InclusionLyondellBasell is an equal opportunity employer.
