Role: HR Manager (people operations)
Type: Independent contractor, paid hourly
Pay: $45–90/hour
Location: Remote, United States
Schedule: Flexible. 10-40 hrs/week
What you'll do
- Turn everyday HR work (payroll, workforce planning, policy questions, employee lifecycle cases) into multi-step tasks that test AI systems
- Write grading rules clear enough that two reviewers reach the same verdict
- Prepare the files each task needs: policy documents, payroll reports, headcount data, employment agreements
- Send back any task that turns out unclear or impossible to grade
What you need
- 5+ years doing HR or payroll work hands-on, not only supervising it
- Experience writing or using HR policies, payroll checklists or compliance standards
- Comfort working across spreadsheets, reports and policy documents
- Strong written and spoken English
- A plus: SHRM, CIPD, PHR or a similar certification
