That means we need an HR leader who understands the realities of project-based environments, evolving workforce needs, and the importance of building strong relationships across both office and field teams.You won't be buried under administrative tasks or stuck maintaining someone else's systems.Instead, you'll step into a role where you can:Own and shape the HR function for a growing AEC companyStrengthen and optimize systems that are already in place (especially iSolved)Build trust across the organization as the go-to HR partner for employees and leadershipHave a real voice with leadership on people, process, compliance, and growthThis is a role for someone who wants to make things better, not just maintain them.What You'll Actually Be DoingYou'll own the full employee lifecycle, with a strong focus on doing the fundamentals exceptionally well:Compliance & HR FoundationEnsure compliance across multiple states based on where employees live and where projects are performedMaintain policies, documentation, and reporting requirementsServe as the internal expert on HR best practicesBenefits & Employee ProgramsManage and improve current benefits offeringsAct as the primary point of contact for employees and providersEvaluate opportunities to strengthen overall competitivenessHR Systems & Process ImprovementOptimize and fully leverage iSolvedDocument and improve workflows across onboarding, performance management, and employee recordsIdentify opportunities to create more consistency and efficiencyEmployee Experience & SupportBe a visible, approachable HR presence across the companySupport managers with employee relations and performance conversationsHelp foster a positive, engaged, and accountable cultureRecruiting & OnboardingPartner with leadership on hiring needsSupport recruiting efforts and ensure a strong candidate experienceLead onboarding and ensure new hires are set up for successWhat Makes Someone Successful In This RoleYou're someone who:Brings a strong foundation in HR compliance and multi-state employment lawUnderstands the dynamics of project-based, technical, or field-driven organizations and can adapt HR support accordinglyIs comfortable working independently in a growing companyEnjoys both structure and peopleCan move between details and big picture without losing momentumTakes pride in creating systems that actually workWhat You BringPHR, SHRM-CP, or similar HR certification5+ years of HR experience, ideally within AEC (architecture, engineering, construction), consulting engineering, or other project-based environmentsExperience with HRIS systems (iSolved preferred)Strong understanding of benefits administration and complianceA practical, solutions-oriented approachWhat You'll Get In ReturnA role where your work has visible impact every dayDirect access to leadership and the ability to influence decisionsThe opportunity to build and improve, not just maintainA collaborative, growing organization where your voice mattersDetailsLocation: Washington State (hybrid, 2–3 days in office)Compensation: $100,000 – $120,000, depending on experience
