Human Resources Generalist
Position Summary
The Human Resources Generalist provides day-to-day HR support across recruitment, onboarding, benefits, employee relations, compliance, employee records, performance management, and training. This position partners with employees, supervisors, and leadership to ensure consistent application of HR policies, accurate records, regulatory compliance, and a positive workplace environment.
Key Responsibilities

Serve as a resource to employees and supervisors regarding HR policies, procedures, benefits, and employment-related questions.

Support recruitment and hiring activities, including job postings, applicant screening, interview coordination, candidate communication, background checks, and onboarding.

Assist with benefits administration, open enrollment, employee leave tracking, and related employee questions.

Maintain accurate personnel files, HRIS records, certifications, licenses, and other required employment documentation.

Assist with employee relations matters, investigations, disciplinary processes, and separations while maintaining strict confidentiality.

Support compliance with applicable employment laws, organizational policies, licensing requirements, and accreditation standards.

Coordinate performance review tracking, employee training, professional development, and required training documentation.

Assist with HR reporting, audits, surveys, policy updates, employee communications, and engagement initiatives.

Provide general administrative support to the HR department, including tracking company equipment and preparing expense documentation.

Maintain current knowledge of HR practices and employment regulations through ongoing professional development.
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Organizational Leadership, Administration, or related field required.

Minimum of five years of HR experience; HR Generalist experience preferred.

Experience in nonprofit, healthcare, behavioral health, social services, or human services preferred.

SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification preferred.
- Strong communication, organization, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills with the ability to handle confidential information professionally.
