This role is responsible for providing expert guidance on employee relations matters, coaching managers through progressive discipline and performance management, conducting complex workplace investigations, and driving continuous improvement of Employee Relations processes.

Key Responsibilities
- Partner with HR Business Partners and people leaders across a national organization to provide guidance on employee relations matters, progressive discipline, performance management, conflict resolution, and corrective action.
- Coach managers on best practices for documentation, policy interpretation, and handling employee concerns while ensuring consistency and legal compliance.
- Serve as the subject matter expert for Employee Relations, balancing business needs with employee experience and risk mitigation.
- Conduct prompt, thorough, and objective investigations involving workplace complaints, policy violations, harassment, discrimination, and other sensitive employee matters.
- Manage Employee Relations case intake and ensure timely resolution of cases across multiple locations.
- Review existing Employee Relations processes, identify workflow inefficiencies, and lead process improvement initiatives to create scalable, standardized solutions.
- Develop and facilitate training for leaders on Employee Relations best practices, progressive discipline, workplace investigations, documentation, and employment law compliance.
- Analyze Employee Relations trends and metrics to identify organizational risks and recommend proactive solutions.
- Partner with Legal, HR Business Partners, and business leaders to ensure consistent application of company policies and employment practices.
- Maintain accurate documentation while ensuring confidentiality and compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 3-5 years of progressive Human Resources experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of dedicated Employee Relations or Labor Relations experience supporting a national or multi-state workforce.
- Demonstrated experience coaching managers through progressive discipline, performance management, corrective action, and complex employee relations issues.
- Experience conducting workplace investigations involving sensitive and high-risk matters.
- Proven success leading process improvement initiatives and implementing more efficient HR workflows.
- Strong understanding of federal, state, and local employment laws and HR best practices.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence leaders at all levels.
- Exceptional judgment, discretion, professionalism, and ability to manage confidential information.
- Experience supporting retail, distribution, or professional beauty organizations.
- Experience working within large, multi-location organizations.
- Knowledge of HRIS and Employee Relations case management systems.
- Experience developing and delivering manager training programs.
- Project management experience with Employee Relations or HR process transformation initiatives.
