About the Role

This opportunity is with a global technology-driven organization focused on solving complex computational and data challenges. The team operates within a high-performance infrastructure environment, supporting large-scale research and analytics workloads.

As an HPC Storage Engineer, you will be part of a specialized team responsible for managing and scaling a multi-petabyte storage platform that underpins mission-critical compute environments. This role involves hands-on engineering, automation, and collaboration across internal teams and external partners to ensure the reliability, performance, and scalability of storage systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, and maintain large-scale storage systems optimized for high-performance computing workloads
  • Implement Infrastructure-as-Code practices to automate and standardize storage provisioning and management
  • Collaborate with internal engineering teams to troubleshoot and optimize workflows for storage efficiency
  • Act as a technical lead on storage-related initiatives, contributing expertise across file, block, and object storage technologies
  • Interface with external vendors and partners to evaluate and integrate new storage solutions
  • Participate in performance benchmarking, capacity planning, and disaster recovery strategy development
  • Support internal users by streamlining data workflows and improving access to storage resources
  • Maintain documentation, runbooks, and best practices for operational consistency and knowledge sharing

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Demonstrated experience managing high-performance or clustered file systems at scale
  • Deep understanding of various storage architectures and protocols, including file, block, and object storage
  • Familiarity with modern scale-out platforms such as Isilon/PowerScale or Vast Data
  • Strong scripting and automation skills, preferably with Python and DevOps tools
  • Experience working in ticketing systems and agile environments (e.g., JIRA)
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive, collaborative mindset
  • Passion for infrastructure engineering, hardware, and emerging technologies
  • Ability to communicate effectively across technical and non-technical teams
