Job Description
The Housing Specialist I is responsible for conducting initial and continued eligibility as well as routine transaction processing for
subsidized housing programs. This role requires a foundational understanding of subsidized housing programs and effective
communication skills to ensure accurate and timely assistance.

The Housing Specialist I is responsible for conducting initial and continued eligibility as well as routine transaction processing for

communication skills to ensure accurate and timely assistance.
Summary of Key Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with the application process for subsidized housing programs (HCV, PH, LIHTC, etc.)
- Review and verify documentation to determine eligibility.
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions and case files.
- Provide information and support to clients regarding program requirements and processes.
- Conduct client interviews to gather necessary information.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions.
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
- Must complete specialist certification course within 60 days of hire. (HCV, Public Housing, LIHTC, etc.)
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in subsidized programs eligibility required.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
