Housing Coordinator

ACCS Integrated Teams provide clinical interventions and peer and family support to facilitate engagement, support functioning and maximize symptom stabilization and self-management of individuals and to assist individuals in developing skills, establishing natural supports and resources to live successfully in the community.

As a member of the ACCS team, the Housing Coordinator will work as a member of Persons’ Team having primary responsibility for supporting Persons in attaining and keeping stable, secure housing.

The Housing Coordinator will:

  • educate staff and Persons using ACCS services about tenancy issues, housing rights, and resources
  • assist Persons with applying for and attaining subsidies
  • work with Persons to secure housing that meets their needs and will guide the Person in learning the skills necessary to maintain community housing
  • provide a single point of contact for developing relationships with landlords, housing authorities, and DMH Area housing staff, to foster communication and provide advocacy

Schedule: 40 hours per week; Monday through Friday

Pay Rate: $23.60/hour

Required Skills

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in team environment
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills (in the English language) and present effectively to the public
  • Must have valid driver’s license and available, dependable transportation and be willing to provide transportation to persons served in personal vehicle, as needed

Required Experience

  • High school diploma and minimum of 2 years related experience required. Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Housing advocacy experience preferred
