Operations Manager Location:Remote Type: Contract
The Operations Manager plays a pivotal role in supporting validation operations through data analysis, workflow optimization, and operational coordination. Rather than manual scheduling, this role focuses heavily on analyzing operational performance data, leveraging AI tools to optimize daily workflows, and supporting depot operations. The VOSC works closely with site operations leads, supervisors, and cross-functional teams to ensure validation resources are efficiently utilized and testing targets are met.
Data Analysis & Metric Tracking: Analyze daily validation operational data, track fleet and resource fulfillment metrics, identify trends or operational bottlenecks, and generate clear performance summaries for operational leadership. Provide hands-on operational coordination across testing teams and depots, facilitating smooth handovers and ensuring operational readiness on-site.
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Operations Management, Data Science, Logistics, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience). 2+ years of experience in operations support, data analysis, operational coordination, or technical operations. Data Analysis & Processes: Strong analytical background with proven ability to manipulate, analyze, and interpret operational data to inform decision-making. Experience building formulas, pivot tables, and reporting templates. LLMs, AI assistants) to draft documentation, analyze data, automate repetitive tasks, or optimize workflows. Travel & Depot Readiness: Willingness and ability to travel (15–30% expected travel) and comfort working directly on-site from operational vehicle depots as needed. Tools / Applications : Advanced proficiency with Google Workspace (especially Google Sheets, Docs, Slides, Calendar).
Familiarity with SQL Experience working within autonomous vehicle (AV), robotics, automotive, or high-tech testing environments
