Job Description
Housekeeper - Freedom Village Holland
Pay: $15.00-$16.00/hr Sign-On Bonus: $1,500 Schedule: Full-Time • 1st Shift
About the Role
  • Maintain cleanliness and neatness of assigned apartments and common areas
  • Support a safe, welcoming, and comfortable environment for residents
  • Follow housekeeping priorities and instructions from supervisor
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform general housekeeping in apartments: vacuuming, bathroom/kitchen cleaning, dusting
  • Clean hallways and common areas as directed
  • Complete tasks in priority order set by supervisor
  • Maintain equipment and supplies in proper condition
  • Attend in-service training and education sessions
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
  • Maintain resident confidentiality at all times
Qualifications
  • Ability to understand and follow instructions in English
  • Strong communication skills
  • Previous housekeeping experience preferred (not required)
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Physical Requirements
  • Moderate to heavy physical effort for most of the workday
  • Stand and walk long distances (up to 8 hours/day)
  • Frequent stooping, kneeling, bending, reaching, and stretching
  • Lift and carry up to 50 lbs independently
  • Push/pull carts up to 100 lbs over various surfaces
  • Operate vacuums and work in confined spaces
  • Regular contact with residents
  • Possible exposure to cleaning chemicals, odors, and communicable diseases
