Position Summary

Key Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize resident rooms, bathrooms, hallways, common areas, offices, and other facility spaces.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment that promotes resident health and dignity.
- Follow all infection prevention, safety, and sanitation procedures in accordance with facility policies and regulatory requirements.
- Report maintenance concerns, equipment issues, or safety hazards to the appropriate department.
- Assist with laundry services and linen distribution as needed.
- Operate housekeeping equipment safely and maintain cleaning supplies and equipment.
- Respond promptly to spills and other environmental needs to maintain a safe environment.
- Work collaboratively with nursing, maintenance, dietary, and other departments to support resident care.
- Provide courteous, respectful service to residents, families, visitors, and fellow team members.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all resident interactions.

Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Ability to follow infection prevention, safety, and sanitation procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Dependable, compassionate, and committed to providing a clean, safe environment for residents.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the position, including standing, walking, bending, lifting up to 50 pounds, pushing, pulling, repetitive gripping, and assisting with cleaning tasks throughout the workday.
- Previous housekeeping, environmental services, janitorial, hospitality, hotel, or healthcare cleaning experience.
- Experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, hospital, or assisted living settings.
- Knowledge of infection prevention, sanitation practices, and cleaning procedures.
- Experience operating commercial housekeeping equipment.
