Room Attendant
Room attendant is responsible for keeping clean, tidy, and attractive the guests' rooms, hallways, and public areas of the hotel, cleaning the rooms according to the hotel's procedures, filling the carts with material, replacing the linen, and restocking the amenities room following the company's standards and safety procedures. In some cases, this role would also be responsible for performing 'deep cleaning' activities within the guest room along with preventive maintenance tasks.
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent and preferably with experience in hospitality or similar work.
- This position requires high levels of attention to detail, ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members orally or in writing.
- Communicate information and ideas clearly.
- Evaluate and select the best courses of action quickly and accurately.
- Perform correctly even when there is an overload of work.
Job Duties & Functions
- Maintain a cordial and helpful attitude towards customers and among employees.
- Show up regularly for work, as established by Avion Hospitality standards, and as required by the work schedule, which will vary according to the hotel's needs.
- Show impeccable personal appearance and hygiene. This includes properly wearing the uniform and the name tag (based on brand standards).
- Always comply with Avion Hospitality's rules and regulations to ensure efficient hotel operation.
- Clean and supply fully the required rooms in a shift.
- Complete all pre-cleaning duties, including but not limited to preparing the cleaning cart with items for guests, cleaning products, and bedding.
- Remove all waste and take away dirty bed linens, towels, and other items from the rooms.
- Carry out any other task assigned by the supervisor or manager.
- It may be necessary to disassemble furniture or items in the guest room to perform a deep cleaning.
- Deep cleaning tasks may include, among others, changing the AC filter, cleaning the AC coils, touching up paint on walls/trims, touching up scratched furniture, or changing closed sliding doors.
