Housekeeper

Perform a combination of cleaning duties to maintain cleanliness in guest rooms according to established procedures.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Clean assigned guest rooms, according to preset standards and procedures. Duties include, but are not limited to making beds, replenishing linens, cleaning bathrooms and vacuuming.
  • Empty wastebaskets and transport other trash and waste to disposal areas according to preset standards and procedures.
  • Replenish supplies such as drinking glasses, writing supplies, and bathroom items according to preset standards and procedures.
  • Input accurate room status into the phone system according to preset standards and procedures.
  • Enter, respond to and close maintenance system work orders as required.
  • Keep cart, linen room and equipment neat and orderly according to preset standards and procedures.
  • Turn in all articles found in vacated rooms immediately and handle according to lost and found procedures.
  • Report maintenance problems immediately.
  • Follow established chemical procedures and key control procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications:

Education - High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Experience - No initial experience required. Knowledge of cleaning equipment, methods, and chemicals also preferred. Good communication skills required for interaction with hotel guests and staff.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to speak and hear. Close and distance vision. Continual use of manual dexterity and gross motor skills with frequent use of bi-manual dexterity and fine motor skills.
