The Housekeeper provides high-quality cleaning, maintenance, and setup services across all facility areas to ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for guests and staff.
Essential Responsibilities
- Facility Sanitation & Cleaning:
- Sweep, scrub, mop, and wax hard surface floors.
- Vacuum and deep-clean rugs and carpets using standard and specialized machinery (e.g., vacuums, buffers, shampoo machines).
- Clean, dust, and polish furniture, fixtures, woodwork, walls, ceilings, restrooms, and window shades.
- Empty, clean, and sanitize waste receptacles.
- Event Support & Facility Setup:
- Set up event rooms precisely according to Banquet Event Order (BEO) diagrams.
- Assist with moving furniture, equipment, and supplies safely.
- Safety, Maintenance, & Customer Service:
- Follow all established safety and sanitation procedures and maintain regular, dependable attendance and punctuality.
- Promptly report any facility damage, maintenance issues, or evidence of vandalism to management.
- Maintain a professional, personable, and courteous demeanor when interacting with the public and coworkers.
- Perform other related operational duties as assigned by supervisors.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to safely lift and carry up to 40 pounds, stand and walk for extended periods, and perform physical cleaning tasks.
- Skills & Competencies:
- Sufficient training, experience, and competence in commercial or facility janitorial operations.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively and cooperatively as part of a team.
- Customer-service oriented with a professional attitude toward the public.
