Housekeeper
Riverside Nursing Home is seeking a dependable and compassionate Full-Time Housekeeper to join our team. As an 80-bed skilled nursing facility, we take pride in providing a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for our residents, staff, and visitors.
The Housekeeper plays a vital role in infection control, resident satisfaction, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere throughout the facility.
No experience? No problem — we are willing to train the right candidate!
Essential Job Duties
- Clean and sanitize resident rooms, bathrooms, and common areas
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and disinfect floors and surfaces
- Empty trash and replace liners throughout the facility
- Clean dining areas, offices, lobby, and staff areas
- Follow infection control and safety procedures
- Report maintenance or safety concerns promptly
- Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies
- Work respectfully and professionally around elderly residents
Qualifications
- Ability to lift, bend, stoop, push, and pull throughout the shift
- Ability to lift up to 30–50 pounds as needed
- Reliable transportation required (facility is not on a bus line)
- Must be able to work 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- Must be available to work every other weekend
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Ability to work well with elderly residents and as part of a team
Experience
- Housekeeping experience preferred but not required
- We provide on-the-job training
Physical Requirements
- Frequent standing and walking
- Repetitive bending and reaching
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely
- Ability to work in a healthcare environment
