Our three youngest children are home full-time, along with our laid-back 8-year-old lab, Ty, who's equal parts couch companion and backyard explorer. We also have two older children who are part of our extended family orbit, one of whom works alongside us in the family business. We own our own business and work full time, which means our weekdays are full and mentally demanding. When we're home, we want to be fully present with our kids, not worrying about whether snacks are prepped or if the laundry made it back into the right rooms. We've built systems that work for us, and we're looking for someone who can step into those rhythms, maintain them with care, and take ownership of the day-to-day so we can focus on what matters most. We're organized people who value high standards when it comes to cleanliness and order.

We're also warm, grounded, and deeply appreciate someone who treats our home the way they'd treat their own. We're not looking for perfection, but we are looking for someone who genuinely cares about the work, takes pride in keeping things running smoothly, and wants to be part of a household for the long haul.Who You Are / What We're Looking ForYou're the person who walks into a room and just knows what needs to be done. You don't wait to be asked. You see the laundry piling up, the pantry running low, or the mail stack growing, and you handle it. You have a project manager's brain and an organizer's heart.

You love systems, you respect routines, and you take real satisfaction in making a home feel calm, functional, and cared for. You're dependable in the truest sense of the word. You show up on time, follow through on what you say you'll do, and can be trusted to handle things correctly without needing someone to double-check behind you. You communicate proactively and clearly, and when something needs immediate attention, you pick up the phone and call instead of waiting on a text response that may not come for hours. You're also someone who connects easily with children. You build rapport naturally, you're present and engaged when they're around, but you also understand professional boundaries and know when to step back. You're looking for more than a job.

You want a role where you can settle in, contribute meaningfully, and grow alongside a family that values consistency and mutual respect. If that sounds like you, we'd love to meet you.Key ResponsibilitiesHousehold Organization & MaintenanceCreate and maintain household organization systemsPerform daily resets and prepare home for weekly cleanersLight tidying including dishes, surfaces, vacuuming, high-traffic areas, countertops, toy pickup and making bedsManage seasonal swaps for clothing, decor, and beddingCoordinate donation drop-offsEvent, holiday, and guest prepPack and unpack for family travelAs needed: change batteries, light bulbs, and smoke detectors as neededMeal Planning & PrepPlan and prep ingredients and meals for 4 dinners per week (low dairy and healthy preference)Prep weekly school snacks (including washing and cutting veggies and fruit)Grocery shoppingKitchen cleanup and maintenanceLaundry & LinensWash, fold, and organize laundry (clothes, linens, and towels)Handle special garment care and dry cleaner drop-off (Mondays) and pickup (Fridays)Wash linens after rotation by cleanersMaintain a tidy, well-stocked laundry areaFamily SupportProvide weekly date night coverage on ThursdaysAssist with occasional pickups and drop-offsProvide light supervision/backup childcare as neededHave after-school snacks ready when children arrive homeHandle kid-related errands such as birthday gifts and school suppliesInventory & ErrandsRestock pantry, fridge, and household suppliesManage running lists for household essentialsComplete returns and general errands including Costco runsHandle mail, packages, and break down boxesAdministrative & Personal Assistant SupportFamily calendar management (including household schedules, using skylight, helping with reminders)Help plan for upcoming events, birthdays, and tripsHandle occasional appointment schedulingAssist with travel planning and logisticsConduct midday check-insDeep Cleaning & Special ProjectsOversee occasional deep cleans and ensure cleaners complete tasks (fridge, oven, baseboards)Refresh garage/mudroom/entryClean washing machine, humidifiers, and air purifiers monthlyComplete organizational projects for toys, gear, and cabinetsVendor & Property OversightOversee cleaners, contractors, and landscapersResearch and coordinate repairs and quotesManage seasonal property maintenance and outdoor spacesOversee monthly front porch, back porch, and garage maintenance (remove leaves, wipe furniture)Pet CareLet dog outside as needed (fenced backyard)Vehicle ManagementFuel, clean, and organize family vehicleHow to ApplyPlease submit a short intro letter, your updated resume, and 3 professional references with contact information. Please note that this role requires a background check. When you apply with Sage Haus, you'll also be added to our candidate community email list so we can share hiring updates, resources, and opportunities.
