Both of us work in demanding roles and work often doesn't fully wind down until later in the day. We have a nanny who provides regular childcare, so we're looking for someone whose primary focus is the household and all of the things that keep it running behind the scenes. We're relaxed and easygoing at home, and we value kindness, respect, flexibility, and teamwork. We want those who work in our home to feel like part of our team. Organization and household management are not our natural strengths, and we're ready to hand that off to someone who genuinely enjoys it. We're looking for someone we can trust, communicate openly with, and work alongside for the long-term.We're hoping to find someone who can become a consistent and trusted part of our household. We appreciate people who take pride in what they do, communicate directly, and are comfortable being proactive.

Flexibility is important to us, and in return, we want to be the kind of employers who respect the person working in our home, value their contribution, and make sure they know they're appreciated.Who You Are / What We're Looking ForYou're the kind of person who enjoys making a household feel more organized, cared for, and under control. You naturally notice the little things, what's running low, what has been sitting on the counter for too long, which errand needs to happen, or what could make the day easier, and you enjoy taking care of them. You're naturally one step ahead and take pride in being someone who can look around, see what needs attention, and make it happen. You find satisfaction in walking into a busy, lived in household and bringing order and ease to the day to day. You're also a confident, capable cook who enjoys meal prep and feels comfortable taking the lead in the kitchen.Just as important, you bring a warm, grounded energy to the people around you. You're kind, considerate, easygoing, and flexible, and you're happy to help. You understand that working in someone's home is personal, and you approach that with respect and good judgment.

You're comfortable being part of a household team while understanding that everyone has their own role, including the family's nanny. You're able to work independently, communicate openly, and use your own judgement about when to jump in, when to ask, and when to simply handle something yourself. You're also nonjudgemental. You're not the person who walks into a busy house and wonders how it got that way. You're the person who thinks, "Okay, let's get this figured out." You're proactive without being pushy, helpful without needing to be asked, and confident enough to take ownership while still being thoughtful about how you work within a family's home.Ultimately, you're looking for more than a job you can do well. You want to become someone a family can rely on and trust. You can see yourself settling into a household, learning how it works, anticipating what will make their lives easier, and becoming a consistent, valued part of the team.

You love creating order, making life run more smoothly, and being the person who quietly makes a hundred little things better.Key ResponsibilitiesHousehold Management & OrganizationCreate and maintain household organization systemsDaily resets and prep home for weekly cleanersLight tidying, including putting away dishes, wiping down surfaces, and vacuuming high-traffic areasSeasonal swaps of clothing, décor, beddingPrepare and coordinate donation drop-offsHoliday/guest prep (linens and towels washed and setup for guests)Unpacking from travelMeal Planning & PrepFully cook dinners for children 5x/week and for adults 3x/weekPrep school lunches 5x/weekGrocery shopping for recipe ingredients and pantry staplesKitchen clean-up and maintenanceAdhere to household allergies/dietary needsInventory & ErrandsRestock pantry, fridge, and household suppliesManage running household supply listsHandle returns, dry cleaning, and gift shoppingMail and package handling, especially sorting of mailShredding itemsBreakdown of boxesLaundry & Linen CareWash, fold, and organize laundry for adultsLinen rotationMaintain a tidy and well stocked laundry areaAdministrative & Personal Assistant SupportTravel planning and logisticsCalendar management, including awareness of household schedulesSchool administrative tasks like signing up for kid's activities, completing forms, etc.Family Support & Child AssistancePick-ups from school as needed (i.e. Nanny is sick)Back-up childcare as neededPrep backpacks, clothing, snacks as neededKid-related errandsWeekend evening babysitting/overnight stays a plusPet CareVet schedulingCoordinating dog-boarding for travelMaintain pet suppliesLet the dog out as needed throughout the dayVendor & Property OversightCommunicate with the property management team when household issues ariseCoordinate minor maintenance needs to property management team such as battery replacements, light bulbs, and smoke detectorsVehicle ManagementSchedule maintenanceTrack registration and insuranceFueling, cleaning, and organizing of vehicle as neededDeep Cleaning & Special ProjectsOccasional deep cleans of fridge, oven, and baseboardsRefresh kitchen, shoe zone, and heavy traffic roomsClean humidifiers and air purifiers as neededHow to ApplyPlease submit a short intro letter telling us a little about yourself and why this role is a great fit, an updated resume, and 3 professional references.
