Houseboat Loadout / Shakedown / Orientation
Department: Houseboats
Reports To: Marina Manager
Position Summary:
Prepare houseboats for rental and provide hands-on orientation to guests on boat operation, safety, and equipment while delivering excellent guest service in a marina environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Orient guests on safe operation of houseboats and onboard equipment
- Assist with launching, mooring, and marina traffic control
- Perform pre-checks, inventory, and cleaning of boats between rentals
- Inspect and inventory of safety equipment (life jackets, fire extinguishers, etc.)
- Handle propane safely and perform minor maintenance as needed
- Provide guests with lake and resort information
- Maintain clean work areas and follow safety procedures
Qualifications:
- High school education preferred
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic tool and maintenance knowledge preferred
- Strong attention to detail and guest service skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks
- Seasonal, outdoor marina setting with physical activity and guest interaction
