Both parents carry demanding professional careers, and our household runs at a fast pace. Our son (age: 8) is an active, curious kid with a full schedule of after-school activities, including competitive travel soccer, math tutoring, and piano lessons. We cook at home regularly, value a tidy and well-organized space, and genuinely enjoy hosting family and friends. While our schedules are busy, family time is incredibly important to us and we'd love to be even more intentional with the time we have. We're thoughtful about who we bring into our home and we're looking to build a trusted, long-term professional relationship.

We're not looking for someone to parent alongside us; instead we're seeking a highly competent, experienced professional who takes ownership of their responsibilities, communicates clearly, and makes our home run smoothly so we can fully show up for our family at the end of the day.Our household currently has support with bi-weekly cleaners and landscapers, and we're entering an exciting season with larger projects and life changes on the horizon. A significant backyard landscaping project is getting underway and a puppy may also be joining our family later this year - adding even more fun, energy and personality to our home. With so much happening, having dependable, proactive household support to help manage all of the moving pieces of our daily lives in a seamless, effortless way would make a meaningful difference. We're looking for someone who can confidently manage the day-to-day details, creating a sense of calm and consistency so our family can focus on enjoying this exciting chapter together.Who You Are / What We're Looking ForThe ideal candidate is a seasoned, competent household professional who doesn't need to be managed, is self-motivated and takes initiative. You take direction, understand the bigger picture, and run with it - confidently owning your responsibilities from start to finish.

You don't wait to be told what to do next; you naturally anticipate needs, identify opportunities to improve how the household functions, and take thoughtful action while staying aligned with the family's preferences. You're highly organized and proactive in your communication. You keep the family informed of anything they need to know, flag potential issues before they become problems, and present solutions rather than simply identifying challenges. You follow through without reminders, stay one step ahead, and understand that consistency and reliability are what build trust. You're coachable and resilient - you welcome feedback, adapt quickly, and don't take constructive guidance personally. You enjoy learning how a family likes things done so you can continuously refine your approach.Professionalism is equally important.

You understand the balance between being warm and approachable while maintaining healthy professional boundaries. You're comfortable working closely with a family, but you recognize that you're there as a trusted household professional. You respect privacy and confidentiality, exercise sound judgment, and know when to step in and when to quietly work behind the scenes to keep everything running smoothly. You're dependable - you show up on time, keep your commitments, and understand that reliability isn't just appreciated, it's essential. Whether it's a school pickup, coordinating household vendors, or ensuring the family has what they need before they even ask, you take ownership and follow through. Fluent English communication is essential for the thoughtful, nuanced, and fast-paced coordination this role requires.Key Qualities Include:Professionalism & Discretion: Comfortable supporting a household while maintaining exceptional professionalism, strong boundaries and complete discretionProactive & Self Sufficient: Takes initiative, anticipate needs, and manage responsibilities independently without requiring frequent direction or remindersSafety-Focused: An experienced, reliable driver who is confident transporting our child to and from activities, with safety always as the top priorityHealthy Meal Planning & Prep Experience: Confidence preparing nutritious, delicious meals while thoughtfully accommodating family preferences and dietary needsHigh Standards for Tidiness & Routines: Capable of creating and maintaining systems for household organization, tasks and daily routines to keep the household running smoothlyKey ResponsibilitiesFamily SupportProvide reliable transportation for school pickups and a full range of after-school activitiesServe as backup childcare support on an as-needed basisMeal SupportPrepare 2-4 weeknight dinners per week, with the goal of having ingredients prepped, marinated, and ready to finish when parents arrive homeAccommodate a mixed-dietary household: one mostly vegetarian adult and two omnivores, with some specific preferencesGrocery shopping based on weekly meal plan and household needsKitchen clean-up and maintenanceLaundry & LinensWash, fold, and put away laundryIroning, steaming, and special garment care as neededMaintain a tidy and well-stocked laundry spaceHousehold Organization & MaintenanceLight daily tidying: dishes, surfaces, vacuuming high-traffic areasPrep home before cleaners arriveCreate and maintain household organization systems in collaboration with the familyCoordinate donation drop-offsManage indoor and outdoor plant careHandle routine maintenance items such as changing batteries, light bulbs, and smoke detectorsSupport event, holiday, and guest prep as neededInventory & ErrandsRestock pantry, refrigerator, and household suppliesManage running household supply lists and coordinate household ordersHandle returns, dry cleaning, and other similar errands as neededBreak down and dispose of boxesDeep Cleaning & Special ProjectsPeriodic fridge deep cleansClean and maintain humidifiers, air purifiers, and furnace filters (annual replacement)Organizational projects for toys, sports gear, and seasonal itemsVehicle UpkeepSchedule routine family vehicle maintenance (oil changes, tire rotations, etc)Coordinate vehicle registration, insurance tracking, and smog checks as requiredLight cleaning and organization of family vehiclesVendor & Property OversightServe as a communication liaison with cleaners, landscapers, and contractorsResearch repair vendors and coordinate quotes, presenting options with recommendationsManage outdoor spaces and general tidying of exterior areasAdministrative & Personal Assistant SupportHousehold calendar coordinationSupport scheduling appointmentsLight travel planning and research support as neededHow to ApplyTo be considered for this role please submit:A short intro letter telling us a bit about yourself and why this role is a great fit
