The following is indicative of the level and types of activities performed by positions in this title. It is not meant to be all inclusive and does not preclude a supervisor from assigning activities not listed which could reasonably be expected to be performed by an employee in this title.Monitor students in the lunchroom during their lunch periodMonitor students during their recess periodMonitor students in the isolation roomEscort students for safety reasons to the Principal, including Nurse and to the isolation roomMonitor students during dismissal if applicableMaintains order in hallways, dining areas, gymnasiums, and outside activity areasChecks lavatories, etc., for students reported missing from classInforms superiors of observations of student behaviorAssist students passing between classes and on premises before and after schoolMonitors students in parking lots and the loading of busesMay collect attendance reportsDoes related work as required; Other duties as assigned by the building principal.Ability to get along well with school-age children and familiarity with classroom routine; good observation skills; tact; courtesy; good judgment; physical condition commensurate with the demands of the position.Appointment will be made by the Board of Education upon the recommendation of the Superintendent following assessment of training, experience, certifications, credentials and evaluation of service.
