The Dabney is seeking a warm, organized, and hospitality-driven Host to join our team.

Chef Jeremiah Langhorne ’s Michelin-starred restaurant showcases Mid-Atlantic cuisine centered around a wood-burning hearth and highlights ingredients sourced from regional farms, fishermen, and artisans.

Since opening in 2015, The Dabney has been honored with numerous accolades including:

• Best Chef: Mid-Atlantic (2018) from the James Beard Foundation
• One Michelin Star (2017–Present) from the Michelin Guide
• No. 1 Restaurant (2023) by Washingtonian Magazine

The Host team plays a critical role in shaping the guest experience from the moment guests arrive. We are looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working with people, and takes pride in creating a welcoming and organized dining room.

Responsibilities

• Warmly welcome and seat guests while maintaining the flow of service
• Manage reservations and waitlists using our reservation system
• Communicate clearly with servers and management to ensure smooth service
• Assist with guest inquiries and special requests
• Help maintain an organized and professional front-of-house environment

Ideal Candidates Will Have

• Previous host or hospitality experience
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• A calm and positive demeanor in a busy dining room
• Strong attention to detail and professionalism
• A genuine enthusiasm for hospitality and guest experience
