We are a vibrant, high-energy cocktail bar and restaurant in New York City, known for our exceptional service, lively atmosphere, and commitment to creating memorable guest experiences. We’re seeking a polished and personable Host/Hostess to join our front-of-house team.
The ideal candidate is friendly, confident under pressure, and experienced with managing reservations, guest flow, and waitlists while delivering exceptional hospitality.
Responsibilities- Welcome and seat guests with warmth, professionalism, and efficiency.
- Manage reservations, walk-ins, and waitlists to maximize seating and guest satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate reservation books using OpenTable , Resy , and Toast .
- Communicate effectively with managers, servers, bartenders, and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service.
- Answer phones and respond to guest inquiries professionally.
- Monitor dining room flow and coordinate seating to optimize service.
- Provide accurate wait times and keep guests informed.
- Assist with guest requests, special occasions, and VIP reservations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming host stand.
- Uphold high standards of hospitality and professionalism throughout each shift.
- 1–2 years of hosting experience in a high-volume restaurant, cocktail bar, or hospitality environment required.
- Strong working knowledge of OpenTable , Resy , and Toast POS is required.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
- Friendly, polished, and professional demeanor.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to remain calm and efficient during busy service periods.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
