Part-Time Host — Trattoria La Bella (River North, Chicago)
Trattoria La Bella, an Italian restaurant in River North under the Roanoke Hospitality brand, is seeking a friendly, organized Part-Time Host to be the first and last impression for our guests.

Trattoria La Bella brings authentic Italian dining to River North, with a warm, fast-paced service style. We're part of Roanoke Hospitality, which also operates Altezza Rooftop Bar.
Position Summary
The Host sets the tone for every guest's experience — greeting guests warmly, managing the flow of the dining room, and ensuring smooth, efficient seating throughout service.
Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests promptly and warmly upon arrival
- Manage reservations and walk-ins, and maintain an accurate waitlist
- Seat guests efficiently while balancing server sections and table turns
- Answer phones, take reservations, and handle guest inquiries professionally
- Communicate with servers, management, and kitchen staff to keep service flowing smoothly
- Maintain a clean, organized host stand and entrance area
- Assist with to-go orders as needed
- Handle guest concerns with professionalism, escalating to a manager when necessary
- Follow all health, safety, and sanitation standards
Qualifications
- Prior host or customer service experience preferred, but not required
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure during busy shifts
- Comfortable using reservation/POS systems (training provided)
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during shifts
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
