Join the Opening Team — 21 Broadway, Brooklyn NY
Rocky's is the sports bar that doesn't feel like one. Opening next month at 21 Broadway in Williamsburg Brooklyn, we're flipping the script: premium hospitality and a design-forward space where sports, style, and community collide. Guests get thoughtfully crafted cocktails, a Michelin-chef-curated menu, plenty of screens, and broadcast-quality sound. From NFL Sundays and Premier League matchdays to UFC fight nights and NBA playoffs, Rocky's is built around live moments and curated events. Join the opening team: shape a brand-new venue from day one, grow as we grow, and help set a new standard for what a sports bar can be. We promote from within, we work hard, and we have fun doing it.
All roles: we're an equal opportunity employer — all applicants will be considered for employment without attention to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, veteran, or disability status. Roles involve standing for extended periods and lifting up to 50 lbs. Compensation ranges below are good-faith estimates; final pay depends on experience.
First face, first impression — own the door, the book, and the flow of the room.
What you'll do
- Greet and seat every guest with warmth and speed; manage the waitlist and quote accurate wait times on a full house
- Own the reservation book: take, confirm, and manage bookings, and build the floor plan to maximize covers without burying a section
- Handle private event and large-party intake: respond promptly, capture the date, headcount, budget, and occasion, answer initial questions, send the standard event packet, and book the site visit — then hand the lead to management to close
- Maintain guest notes and the regulars list — remember names, preferences, and the tables people ask for
- Coordinate the room on game days and fight nights: manage ticketed-event check-in, reserved seating, and sightline requests across the screens
- Answer phones and inbound messages; be the voice of Rocky's before anyone walks through the door
- Partner with servers, bartenders, and management on pacing, table turns, and VIP handling
What you bring
- 1–2 years hosting or front-desk experience in a high-volume restaurant, bar, or hotel
- Comfort with reservation and POS systems (Resy, OpenTable, SevenRooms, Toast) and quick to learn new ones
- Organized and detail-driven — you can hold a 90-minute wait, three inbound event inquiries, and a walk-in party of eight in your head at once
- Polished, unflappable presence with guests, including when the answer is no
- Nights, weekends, and game-day availability
