Full-Time Nocturnist Hospitalist — Long Beach, California
SoCal Hospitalists is a physician-owned, physician-led hospital medicine group serving an acute-care hospital in Long Beach. We are adding a full-time nocturnist to our team.
The role
- Overnight coverage, 7 PM to 7 AM, 12-hour shifts
- Admit from the ED and direct admissions, cross-cover the hospitalist service, respond to clinical changes, and hand off cleanly in the morning
- Swing admitter overlap from 7 PM to 10 PM, so you are not alone during the evening surge
- Block scheduling built two months ahead, 5 nights on and 10 off, about 10 to 14 shifts per month
- Optional teaching role with internal medicine residents through our GME service, if that interests you

Who we are looking for
- MD or DO, board certified or board eligible in Internal Medicine
- Active California medical license and DEA
- Comfortable managing overnight admissions, rapid responses and ICU-level patients independently
