Sanford Health, one of the largest and fastest-growing not-for-profit health systems, is seeking a full-time BC/BE Internal Medicine Hospitalist to join their Hospital Medicine department at Marshfield Medical Center - Rice Lake. This role involves providing comprehensive inpatient care for adult patients, managing acute and chronic medical conditions, and coordinating care with multidisciplinary teams. The successful candidate will contribute to high-quality, patient-centered outcomes throughout hospitalization.
Practice Info
- Marshfield Medical Center - Rice Lake is a Trauma Level 4 medical campus with a 40-bed, full-service hospital.
- The Hospitalist Service includes medical consultation for surgical and non-surgical subspecialty patients including Med Surg, ICU and step down units.
- There is a 5-bed Open ICU.
- Performing procedures is not a requirement.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive, inpatient care for adult patients in a hospital setting.
- Manage acute and chronic medical conditions.
- Coordinate of care with multidisciplinary teams.
- Ensure high-quality, patient-centered outcomes throughout hospitalization.

Shift & Schedule
- Schedule is 12-hour shifts of both 7am-7pm and 7pm-7am.
- Approximately 14 shifts a month, this is not a standard 7 on 7 off role.
Requirements
- M.D. or D.O. degree.
- Successful completion of an accredited residency in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
- Current medical license in each state of practice.
- State Controlled Substance License (if required by State).
- Current Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) permit to prescribe controlled substances in each state of practice.
- Board Certified in Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine; or Board Certified in Family Medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine; or equivalent (American Osteopathic Board, Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Canada).
