Hospitalist

Kelsey-Seybold Clinic, part of the Optum family of businesses, is seeking a dedicated Nocturnal Hospitalist to join its Hospitalist Program. This role involves providing specialized, efficient, and coordinated care for hospitalized patients during night shifts. The successful candidate will contribute to a team nationally recognized for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care across 40+ locations in Houston.

Responsibilities

• Respond to ER calls and admit patients in the assigned hospital(s)
• Stay in-house for the duration of the shift (7pm to 7am)
• Be responsible for all calls regarding admissions to Baylor St. Luke's Medical Center
• Efficiently manage patients in the hospital and interact with specialists to coordinate care
• Transition follow-up care to the daytime hospitalist safely and effectively
• Participate in hospital committees, initiatives, and KSC Hospital Service/IM Department activities

Compensation

• Compensation for this specialty generally ranges from $125 to $186.86 per hour
• Total cash compensation includes base pay and bonus and is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience and may increase over time based on productivity and performance in the role

Shift & Schedule

• 7pm to 7am (number of shifts can be decided amongst the team to ensure coverage every night)
• The nocturnal hospitalist will be required to stay in house for the duration of the shift
