Hospitalist

Benefis Health System, one of Montana's largest health systems, is seeking a board-certified Internal Medicine physician to join their hospitalist group in Great Falls. This swing shift role involves patient care and the education and supervision of internal medicine residents and medical students within an academic community hospital setting. • Academic community hospital in Great Falls, Montana
• Level II trauma designation
• Cover only 1 hospital with 349 acute care beds
• Admitting/consulting on medical, surgical, and obstetric patients 18 years of age and older
• Great access to specialists with over 400 providers on medical staff representing 40 specialties
• Epic EMR

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care as a hospitalist
• Provide education and supervision to internal medicine residents and medical students
• Oversight of Internal Medicine Residents on the admitter service
• Day rounder assistance with admissions if needed
• Procedures optional with privileging
• No ICU coverage required

Shift & Schedule

• Two dedicated swing shift physician each day
• Working 7 am - 5 pm or 11 am - 9 pm
• 7 on 7 off
• Averaging 9 admissions per day

Requirements

• Internal Medicine BE/BC required (ABIM or AOBIM)
• Not considering 2027 candidates at this time
