Hospitalist - Eugene/Springfield, OR

PeaceHealth Sacred Heart Medical Center at RiverBend is seeking a Hospitalist to join our collaborative and well‑established team in the Eugene/Springfield community. This is an excellent opportunity to practice in a high‑acuity, state‑of‑the‑art regional medical center with a strong culture of teamwork, support, and clinical excellence.

Position Highlights

  • Full‑time Hospitalist position with flexible block scheduling
  • Manageable census – capped at 18 patients
  • Work within a unit‑based, interdisciplinary care model focused on quality and patient outcomes
  • Closed ICU model
  • Practice at a Level II Trauma Center with high acuity and diverse pathology
  • Robust Hospitalist team (~55‑60 providers) with dedicated nocturnists (shift differential included)
  • Supportive environment with strong retention and collegial culture
  • Teaching opportunities with medical students (OHSU affiliation)

Clinical Environment & Support

  • Approximately 400 beds plus observation unit, with planned expansion
  • Dedicated Code Blue and Rapid Response teams (Hospitalists participate but do not lead codes)
  • Procedures are generally not required
  • Collaborative care with palliative care, specialty services, and advanced practice clinicians
  • Team‑based environment known for strong peer support and work‑life balance

Compensation and Benefits

  • First‑year salary guarantee: $366,246.00

Requirements

  • MD or DO (or foreign equivalent)
  • Completion of an accredited Internal Medicine residency
  • Minimum 2+ years of hospitalist experience in a high‑volume setting preferred
  • Board certified or board eligible
  • Oregon license or ability to obtain
  • BLS required
