Sound Physicians is seeking a physician leader to serve as a Co-Medical Director for their hospital medicine program at Community Regional Medical Center in Fresno, California. This role offers the opportunity to practice clinically while providing strategic and operational leadership to a high-performing team of 50 physicians and 10 Advanced Practice Providers. The position focuses on driving quality improvement, patient experience, operational excellence, and physician engagement within the community.

- Collaborate with hospital executives, physician leaders, and service line partners to advance organizational goals and initiatives.
- Community Medical Centers is affiliated with UCSF Fresno, which offers training to residents and fellows.
- Community Regional Medical Center is a Level 1 Trauma Center.
- Closed ICU environment.
- Utilize Epic EMR.
Responsibilities
- Partner with the Co-Medical Director to oversee the day-to-day operations of the hospital medicine program.
- Work alongside hospital executives and service line leaders to drive organizational initiatives and achieve hospital goals.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, professional development, and clinical excellence.
- Lead performance improvement efforts focused on length of stay, readmissions, patient safety, quality metrics, and regulatory compliance.
- Represent the hospital medicine program on committees and interdisciplinary leadership teams.
- Maintain an active clinical role caring for hospitalized patients.
Compensation
- Annual compensation $340,000-$360,000 + multiple incentive opportunities.

Shift & Schedule
- Work in collaboration with your Co-Medical Director, working 8 clinical shifts each month.
- Administrative time is spent at the hospital Monday-Friday, two of the remaining three weeks of the month.
- This is a full-time position.
Requirements
- Board Certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
- Prior hospital medicine leadership experience required.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, build relationships, and drive quality outcomes.
- Must live within the Community.
