Sound Physicians is seeking a physician leader to serve as a Co-Medical Director for their hospital medicine program at Clovis Community Medical Center. This role offers the opportunity to practice clinically while providing strategic and operational leadership for a high-performing team of physicians and advanced practice providers. The successful candidate will drive quality improvement, patient experience, and operational excellence, contributing to a meaningful impact on the community.

Practice Info

  • Partner with a Co-Medical Director for a team of 30 physicians and 6 advanced practice providers
  • Closed ICU environment
  • Procedures are not required
  • Utilize Epic EMR

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Co-Medical Director to oversee the day-to-day operations of the hospital medicine program
  • Work alongside hospital executives and service line leaders to drive organizational initiatives and achieve hospital goals
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, professional development, and clinical excellence
  • Lead performance improvement efforts focused on length of stay, readmissions, patient safety, quality metrics, and regulatory compliance
  • Represent the hospital medicine program on committees and interdisciplinary leadership teams
  • Maintain an active clinical role caring for hospitalized patients

Compensation

  • Annual compensation $375,000 + multiple incentive opportunities

Shift & Schedule

  • Work between 5 and 8 clinical shifts per month, with a minimum commitment of 5 shifts
  • Administrative time is spent at the hospital Monday-Friday
  • Full-Time Position

Requirements

  • Board Certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
  • Prior hospital medicine leadership experience required
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams, build relationships, and drive quality outcomes
  • Must live within the Community
