Hospitalist Physician

Join our team in Stockton, California, as a Hospital Medicine Nocturnist, where you will provide exceptional overnight patient care. This role with Sound Physicians offers professional growth within a cohesive team of 26 physicians at St. Joseph's Medical Center, serving the local community with a commitment to better care and collaboration. Practice Info

• Become part of a cohesive and long-standing team of 26 physicians with the support of a clinical performance nurse at St. Joseph’s Medical Center.
• Our team comprises clinicians from diverse geographic, educational, and training backgrounds.
• We work in a closed ICU setting with 24/7 intensivist coverage.
• Our team is not required to do procedures.
• We work with Family Medicine and Internal Medicine residents.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional patient care during nighttime hours.
• Participate in hospital committees and the community.
• Teach Family Medicine and Internal Medicine residents.

Compensation

• The expected annual compensation for this role is $400,000+.
• Eligible for Public Service Loan Forgiveness.

Shift & Schedule

• This is a nocturnist schedule: 7 PM - 7 AM.
• Flexible block schedule.

Requirements

• Comfortable with a nocturnal schedule.
• Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
• IM or FM board certification or eligibility, with the expectation of obtaining certification.
• Active medical license or eligible to become licensed in California.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• H-1B and J-1 visa sponsorship available.
