Locums - Okeechobee, Florida Hospitalist Opening
Clinical Role
Provide Hospitalist coverage for a 6-month assignment managing bread-and-butter Internal Medicine cases within a rural, community-based patient population. New graduates are welcome.
Assignment Details
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 6 months
Clinical Details
- 100-bed hospital
- Average census: 50 patients
- Approximately 12 admissions daily
- Open ICU
- Procedures and ventilator management required with Pulmonology and Cardiology support
- Providers may perform additional procedures if appropriately signed off
- No trauma
- Outpatient follow-up with community providers
- Nursing, Case Management, Respiratory Therapy, Physical Therapy, Lab, and additional support available
- Orientation typically 4-8 hours
Requirements
- Board Certified - Required
- Active Florida license - Required
- Emergency privileges available
- New graduates welcome
