- Clinical performance nurse assists throughout the care process.
- Hospital has a closed ICU with Sound Physicians’ intensivists 24/7.
- All procedures are performed by the intensivist team and interventional radiology.
- Hospitalist team is part of the rapid response and code team.
- Uses Cerner with Dragon and has access to an internal informatics platform.
Responsibilities
- Perform rounds, admissions, and discharges.
- Conduct multidisciplinary rounds and table rounds.
- Teach Einstein Montgomery family medicine, internal medicine, and transitional year residents.
- Supervise residents managing rapid responses and codes until the intensivist arrives.
- Attend monthly team meetings to relay key information from administration, discuss group operations, and provide general feedback.

Shift & Schedule
- If full-time, your schedule will be 7 days on and 7 days off.
- The hours are 7 am to 7 pm.

Requirements
- Board-certified internal medicine or family medicine physician.
- Academic experience required.
- Demonstrated excellence in inpatient teaching and clinical supervision, including bedside instruction and resident guidance, with prior academic or structured teaching experience highly valued.
- Proven ability to lead high-quality, efficient hospital care by driving early disposition planning, exercising sound clinical judgment around inpatient vs. outpatient needs, and partnering effectively with interdisciplinary teams to optimize throughput.
- Skilled in coordinating complex care plans and integrating consultant input while maintaining ownership of the overall care plan; experience managing patients with substance use disorders and collaborating with social work and community resources is a strong plus.
