Central Montana Medical Center is seeking a skilled Hospitalist to join our team in Lewistown, MT. As a member of our medical staff, you will provide comprehensive inpatient care in our Critical Access Hospital, caring for a diverse patient population while working closely with our Emergency Department, specialty providers, and clinical team.
This position offers a preferred 7-days-on, 7-days-off schedule, providing an excellent balance of professional responsibility and personal time. With an average daily inpatient census of approximately 9 patients, this is an opportunity to practice broad-spectrum inpatient medicine in a collaborative, low-volume environment.

Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive medical care to hospitalized patients in a Critical Access Hospital setting.
Evaluate and manage patients admitted through the Emergency Department and direct admissions.
Perform daily rounds and manage inpatient care throughout the scheduled shift.
Diagnose and treat a broad range of acute and chronic medical conditions.
Collaborate effectively with Emergency Department providers, nursing staff, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team.
Coordinate care with available specialty services, including General Surgery, Orthopedics, Podiatry, and psychiatric services.
Communicate with patients and families regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, and discharge planning.
Order, interpret, and respond to diagnostic tests and laboratory results as clinically appropriate.
Maintain accurate and thorough medical records and documentation.
Participate in overnight hospital call as part of the scheduled 7-day block, with night call relief provided approximately 1 2 nights per week.
Procedural experience is a plus, although the hospital has a relatively low volume of inpatient procedures.
Requirements:
Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
Board certification or Board Eligibility in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
Completion of an accredited residency in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
Strong diagnostic and clinical skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, rural healthcare environment.
