Hospitalist Physician

UF Jacksonville Hospital is seeking a Hospitalist to join their established team in Jacksonville, FL. This role offers the opportunity to provide high-quality care within a collaborative environment at a Level I tertiary facility. Practice Info

• Join a team of 21 physicians and 0 APPs.
• 700-bed, Level I tertiary facility with separate academic service.
• Closed ICU with 24/7 Intensivist.
• No procedures, no code, but run rapid on own patients.

Responsibilities

• Round on average 18 patients/shift with 2-3 admissions as part of the average of 18.
• Help support the hospitalist team’s efforts in utilization management, compliance, clinical documentation improvement, and patient satisfaction at UF Jacksonville North Hospital.
• Collaborate with the hospitalist Director on performance improvement initiatives such as length of stay, readmissions, and regulatory compliance.
• Participate in monthly hospitalist team meetings.

Shift & Schedule

• 7-days-on, 7-days-off scheduling with flexibility for time off, eg – attend conferences, vacation, etc.
• 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM rounding shift.

Requirements

• ABIM or ABFM certified with prior hospitalist experience.
• Requires a minimum of 1 year of recent, previous hospitalist experience.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• H-1B and J-1 visa sponsorship available.
