- 7 on / 7 off schedule -- days, nights, and swing shifts available
- Days avg: 20 - 22 pts; nights avg: 6 - 7 admits plus cross cover
- Inpatient hospital setting
- Total volume approx. 265 - 300 inpatients -- 40 new admits per day
- Closed ICU -- step-down unit available
- No procedures required -- hospitalist responds to codes on own patients
