An established healthcare organization in New York City is seeking a Hospitalist for a promising opportunity with their team in Brooklyn.
About the Opportunity:
- Shift: Day shift
- Schedule: Wednesday to Tuesday (even other week or one week in 4)
- Hours: 8am to 7pm
- Setting: Inpatient hospital
Responsibilities:
- Provide hospitalist coverage for inpatient and emergency department patient care
- Manage floor teams with resident support and oversee patient volumes as assigned
- Round on patients in the morning and participate in interdisciplinary team discussions
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, residents, and care teams to coordinate treatment plans
- Document patient assessments, progress, and care decisions accurately and in a timely manner
Qualifications:
- Board-certified or board-eligible physician in Internal Medicine or a related specialty
- Experience providing Hospitalist or Inpatient Medicine Care
- Ability to work a seven-day coverage block on the assigned schedule
- Strong clinical judgment and communication skills in a hospital-based setting
