Local Team Collaboration

We take pride in our well‑established team at Texas Health Presbyterian Dallas consisting of 45 physicians and 2 advanced practice providers (APPs), with support from a clinical performance nurse, a clinical performance associate, and a group coordinator. Work alongside a diverse group of professionals from around the world. We are an integral part of our hospital community and a valued strategic partner, maintaining strong relationships with hospital leadership and other physician groups.

Qualifications

  • Board‑certified or eligible physician assistant
  • Open to new graduates
  • Authorized to work in the United States

Scheduling

This is a full‑time nocturnist position with a 7‑nights‑on, 7‑days‑off rotation. The role requires working exclusively overnight shifts, and the schedule is designed to allow a healthy work‑life balance. The team covers for each other when anyone is out, ensuring you can enjoy time off without worry.

Key Responsibilities

  • For the first 4–6 hours, a remote APP takes the pager call from home. If a bedside evaluation is needed, they forward the message to the in‑house night APP.
  • The in‑house APP makes patient assignments for all the docs the next day.
  • Average of 3–5 bedside calls a night and approximately 50 pager messages.
  • Closed ICU with 24/7 intensivist on staff and excellent sub‑specialty backup. No procedures required.

Located just north of downtown Dallas, the area offers a variety of communities, great schools, a strong housing market, and a diverse job market. Residents enjoy an average of 245 days of sunshine and access to over 25 city parks, five large lakes, more than 20 golf courses, and many restaurants and shops. Dallas also boasts an arts scene with concert venues, off‑Broadway shows, museums, and galleries.

Rewards and Compensation

Annual compensation of $145,000, with eligibility for a quality and productivity bonus. Full benefits are included along with a CME allowance.
